Candy + Mark wedding

Candy and Mark were married on Cinco De Mayo and they threw a big ole party for their family and friends! The wedding started out at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and then everyone went over to the Houstonian for dinner and dancing after. There were lots of kids, hugs and dancing. Not to mention a a little bit of a Mexican theme for Cinco De Mayo. It was awesome!

Congrats you two!

Opening Day at Schlumberger

We had the pleasure of being brought in to cover this corporate event for Schlumberger. The Opening Day event coincided with the their new state of the art Core Analysis Laboratory as well as the beginning for the 2012 Baseball Season. To tie in the theme they brought in 1974 National League MVP Steve Garvey. In addition to the festivities private tours were provided which ended with an opportunity to get a signature from the special guest. 40th Birthday Bash

Recently I was asked to photograph the 40th birthday bash for our friend Jesus.. The party was pretty fabulous, so I had to show some photos off.

There was a puppeteer, who was pretty hilarious, and a performance by the lovely Ms. Kourtney Van Wales (who I may or may not have known since I was in high school). Then there was a lot of dancing and sparkling blinking party favors.

Oh and giant red balloons. One of which I insisted on bringing home, but would not fit in my car, so I had to drive through Montrose holding out my car window.

Lets also not forget the special Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean drag queen cake. Oh yes. In any case, it was a great party, so I had to share. Enjoy!

Jaclyn + Jonathan wedding

Jaclyn and Jonathan were married this past Sunday at a ceremony held at the Corinthian. This is such a great space because it easily transitions to a great reception facility. The couple were originally going to be married at Disney, as they are both big fans, but logistically speaking, the Corinthian was much easier for the amount of family and friends they wanted to share their day with. Also the service and food provided by Jackson and Company cannot be compared, as it is out of this world!

The ceremony itself was just beautiful and the setting was amazingly decorated with red and white roses and lilies and crystal centerpieces. The couple looked gorgeous for their big day and Jaclyn’s ball gown made her look like a princess. They couple first met while in high school in the Woodlands. He asked her to the prom and they have been inseparable for six years now!

Music and entertainment was provided by the ever energetic Damon Pampolina of PRP Entertainment (another Disney connection, he used to be a Mouseketeer!). This guy is amazing at getting the party going! Bride and Groom’s cakes provided by Who Made the Cake! and videography services by Sam’s Digital Productions.

The couple will reside in Houston after they return from their tropical honeymoon in St. Lucia.

Juliana + Kasper wedding

David and Laura covered the wedding of Juliana and Kasper this last weekend at one of Houston’s premier locations, The Corinthian. The couple had both their ceremony and reception in the venue. Kasper moved to Houston ten years ago from Denmark. Needless to say many of his family and childhood friends traveled far and wide to be there. In fact, one of his groomsmen, Gavin, who also emceed the toasts and introductions, came all the way from Australia to be apart of the special day. The couple wanted the ceremony to be very personal and reflected their Danish and American roots. There was a Danish cake as well as a traditional American cake (the Danish cake was filled with Marzipan and was very yummy!) They also did a Danish waltz and had all of the guests surround them while they danced. The crowd then moved in towards the couple and lifted Kasper off his feet to cut off the toes of his socks and present them to the bride! During the ceremony and for part of the reception, Juliana’s father sang along to piano accompaniment of a family friend. Kasper’s cousin also sang a rendition of “the Rose” and a Danish hymn during the ceremony. What a talented family they have! The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Rebecca Wilson while the amazing florals were provided by Wedding Flowers by Lisa. Following dinner entertainment was provided by Damon Pampolina of PRP Entertainment.
