Brittany + Austin wedding

This past weekend we got to travel to Round Top, Texas to spend the weekend and photograph Brittany and Austin’s fabulous wedding weekend. We had such a great time! The ceremony and reception were held at Austin’s parents ranch and they really put on a fabulous party! Music was provided by The Brotherhood band, which were awesome and energetic. They kept the dance floor going all night.

The food was provided by Party Thyme out of Columbus which was super delicious. Pie’s (instead of a groom’s cake) were provided by Royers Round Top Cafe. The flowers and decorations were done by the brides family. They did such a beautiful job! Event coordination handled by Emily with Keely Thorne Events.

Brittany and Austin will continue to live in Houston after they get back from their honeymoon in Costa Rica. They just bought a house here and are looking forward to getting settled in.

Lynn + Michael wedding

Lynn and Michael were married this past Saturday at an island themed venue in Santa Fe, Texas called Hidden Palms. They first met when he saw her doing Karaoke, and she did a little bit at the wedding, so other than just being adorable, I can see how she caught his eye. They were such a warm and fun couple to work with. Congratulations you two, and have fun on your Mexican honeymoon!

Julie + Michael wedding

I must say that the weather has cooperated on more than our share of sessions and weddings recently. This weekend was no exception. Within 48 hours there was a forty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms for our outdoor ceremony and reception. Guess what… it was one of the most beautiful weekends we have had here in Houston.

So with that being said feast your eyes on the outdoor wedding of Julie and Michael around in the pool of the Hotel ZaZa. The couple each have a son and two daughter’s who stood up for them. The event was coordinated by Danyette with Two Be Wed while ceremony music was provided by Divisi Strings. The floral arrangements were courtesy of Julie’s sister in law, Diana Go, visiting from California with local assistance from Lee Capetillo of Ta-Dah Events. Evening entertainment was also provided by the NiteBeat Band. The couple were pleasantly surprised  later in the evening when the guest were provided customized handkerchiefs with their names and date for a second line dance complete with a white lace parasol for the bride. Finally to conclude the evening staff prepared and lit large luminaries for launch from poolside. Now that was a great interactive conclusion to the eventing for everyone including several of the hotel guests.

Lindsey + Paul wedding

Lindsey and Paul were married last Thursday in an intimate ceremony at Tiki Island.

When I (Laura) first spoke to them (a week or so before their wedding) they were just going to have a small ceremony with the two of them and a judge at a local park and then we were going to go take some fun portraits of the two of them around Galveston. Well, as the week progressed, friends and family gathered together and the plan changed significantly and we had a full blown wedding! I was really amazed at what they managed to pull of in less than two weeks time! They had a gorgeous outdoor wedding at the Village of Tiki Island at a friend’s house surrounded by all of their family and friends. And we still got to do a few photos around the Strand:)

The couple honeymooned in San Francisco and will continue to live in Galveston while Lindsey finishes medical school at UTMB. Congratulations you guys and it was great to meet you!
