Helms-Briscoe held their annual conference in Houston this year. The events took place at the Hobby Center, The Crystal Ballroom and the Intercontinental Hotel Houston (now the Royal Sonesta) , as well as on the streets of downtown. There was much entertainment, including music by Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes as well as a few other fabulous bands and entertainers. There was also Speed Painting, a Chinese Dragon Dance and a crazy game of volleyball with multiple balls and many blow up toys being tossed over the net.
