Laura + Alex engagement

Laura and Alex are getting married on March 7th in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and our own Laura Burlton captured some amazing engagement photos before the wedding to get to know each other a little better first. Originally Laura was going to meet them in Galveston, but in the end we decided to stay a little closer to home. Their wedding will be at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort. They are such a fun couple and we can’t wait to show you the wedding!

Amy + Christopher engagement session

Jennifer + James engagement

Well after several attempts we were finally able to photograph James and Jennifer. Their wedding was quickly approaching and due to inclement weather we had to reschedule three or four times. The couple really wanted to work with the fantastic tree at the Houstonian which is only lit between Thanksgiving and New Years.

Cicely’s engagement

As the weather is finally nice it is that time again for pleasant outdoor portraits. We recently photographed Cicely and her fiance for their engagement portrait downtown. We had a great time working with them and are looking forward to their wedding in March.

Ruth + Gregg engagement session

Ruth Plascencia and Gregg Catani are getting married at the end of October at the Alden Hotel downtown. They did not want the usual park setting for their engagement photos and opted instead for a more gritty, urban look. They chose the warehouse district northeast of downtown as their locale. Laura had fun with all of the different and diverse backdrops available there. She can’t wait to shoot their wedding in October!

Carrie + Luke engagement session

Carrie and Luke are getting married this August and requested more unique engagement portraits that reflected their personal style and had a personal significance to them. So instead of the usual park setting, we ventured to the area around the Continental Club for our location. Carrie and Luke met at The Continental while both attending a performance by Austin band, The Hollisters who are also playing at their wedding. We had a lot of fun on this session as they were both joking around the whole time.

Margaret + Josh engagement

Margaret and Josh are going to be married in November and wanted to do an engagement session with us before the wedding. They wanted a park setting so we went to the versatile and lovely Eleanor Tinsley Park. These guys were troopers because the minute we started a little storm started to blow in and it was WINDY! We think the images came out great and we made the wind work for us

Ashley + Ryan newlywed portraits

Laura wanted to have some fun so she asked a friend Carol to refer a unique couple in order to create an edgy newlywed session. So this is how we met Ashley and Ryan, who were married a few months ago. Ashley is a hairdresser at Cutloose Salon and Ryan is a tattoo artist at Amazing Tattoo as well as the lead singer/organist for Ryan Scroggins and the Trenchtown Texans. If you are not busy this Saturday night you should go see the band at The Continental Club.

Engagement Session – Galveston Railroad Museum

Laura traveled to Galveston for an engagement session with Leti and Ben at the Galveston Railroad Museum. It is just one of the coolest places to shoot around this area. The couple also requested some images on the beach and downtown Galveston, so we had a lot of fun.

They were such a fun couple to work and are getting married in November. Although we were already booked for their wedding date the couple insisted on Laura to cover their engagement session. They are using Edward Charles Photogrgaphy for their actual wedding day photos and he is wonderful, so we know they are in good hands. Congratulations you two!
