Faison + Peter wedding

Faison and Peter’s wedding this past weekend was a grand affair. We started off at St. John the Divine then down the road to River Oaks Country Club.  The couple first met on the beach at Surfside Beach about 6 years ago and have been inseparable since. They will soon be moving to San Antonio where Peter will be stationed in the Army for a few years, and then who knows where life will take them!

Candy + Mark wedding

Candy and Mark were married on Cinco De Mayo and they threw a big ole party for their family and friends! The wedding started out at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and then everyone went over to the Houstonian for dinner and dancing after. There were lots of kids, hugs and dancing. Not to mention a a little bit of a Mexican theme for Cinco De Mayo. It was awesome!

Congrats you two!

Alamo book signing with Phil Collins

We recently had the pleasure of working with the legendary Phil Collins, but not in regards to his musical career. It is an amazing story how Phil became enamored with Davy Crockett and the Alamo is his childhood and to later become the largest collector of Alamo historical artifacts. He has become one of the few recognized as a true historical biographer with his collection and newly released book, “The Alamo and Beyond: A Collector’s Journey

This stop was part of a four city tour promoting the book which a portion of the proceeds are going to the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA).Presenting this evening were McMurry University professors, Stephen L. Hardin and Donald S. Frazier as well as J.P. Bryan of Torch Energy Advisors where the event was held. A unexpected surprise was a gift to Phil by one of the guests which providing him with a very rare treat of being commissioned as an Honorary Admiral in the Texas Navy.

Laura + Sati wedding

What can we say, other than this was an amazing wedding of cultures. Between Laura and Sati’s families, we had American, Mexican and Turkish influences mixed in with a little Brazilian entertainment. The ceremony was held at St Vincent de Paul with a reception following at the St Regis Hotel Houston. Event coordination was handled by the bride’s sister’s company, Occasio while flowers and room decor were provided by Plants N Petals. The wonderful bride and groom’s cakes were created by Edible Designs by Jessie.

Amanda + Daniel wedding

Amanda and Daniel’s wedding was so much fun! We drove down to Galveston to shoot their wedding at First Presbyterian church and the reception followed at the Tremont House. Both spaces were beautiful and I love that chose such historic locations for their wedding celebration. Initially Amanda had wanted a hill country wedding, but Daniel swayed her by making her fall in love with the island. In any case, it was such a fun wedding. Their family and friends danced the night away and a few even got up onstage. Her bridesmaids have got some talent! Congratulations you two!
