Rebecca + Joe wedding

This past weekend we got to travel down to a little beach town called Surfside, TX for Rebecca and Joe’s wedding. We started out in Lake Jackson at their family church, St. Micheal’s and then on to the beach pavilion we went.

Rebecca and Joe first met at work. I remember she told me when they were first introduced she thought he was really cute, but she was sad because she knew it would never go anywhere, as he was a co worker. Well apparently they got over this little obstacle!

It was great fun working with them and their family who were all so very nice and genuine.

We wish you two many years of happiness together!

Rebecca’s bridal session

If you are seeing this, it means Rebecca and Joe are already married! We photographed Rebecca’s bridal back in April at the Varner-Hogg Plantation, down in West Columbia, Texas. It was my first time down there and it was really a treat. Rebecca was a great model to work with and we really had fun with the session, which is what it is all about.

Jill + Nick wedding

This is the second wedding we have covered for this wonderful family. We first worked with them at Lindsey and Ryan’s wedding in 2008. This year was the celebration for Jill and Nick at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church accompanied by the St Paul’s Choir. This is always the perfect touch for a wedding at one of our favorite churches since I began photographing weddings back in the early 90′s. The reception followed at the Petroleum Club of Houston which has one of the best unobstructed views of downtown Houston. The delicious cakes were provided by Susie’s Cakes while floral and room decor courtesy of Darryl and Company. Fried Ice Cream entertained the guests throughout the evening.

Sarah + Greg wedding

Sarah and Greg’s wedding at Hotel ZaZa was such a treat to document. Not only are they a most fabulous and wonderful couple, they have amazing love and support from their family and friends. I met with them a few times before their wedding and their story is unique. You see they met through work, like a lot of couples, but unlike a lot of couple Sarah worked at the Leukemia & Lymphoma society and she met Greg as a speaker. Greg has been living with Leukemia for 11 years now. But as these things happen, these two were meant to be together. They both have a love of life and sense of humor that cannot be compared. The emotion at this event was game changing, real and beautiful. I wish them many, many happy and healthy years together!

Jill’s bridal session

Kolbi + Fuller wedding

We first met Kolbi when we covered her brother’s wedding last year. This year it was Kolbi and Fuller’s wedding at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church with a reception following at the Crystal Ballroom. Florals and event decorations were provided by Wedding Flowers by Lisa while the evenings entertainment was courtesy of Fried Ice Cream. The bride’s cake was created by Bobbie’s Cake Creations while the groom’s burnt orange University of Texas tower cake was created by Cakes by Gina.

Modern Luxury Houston Brides featured wedding

Once again we were chosen to be featured in Modern Luxury Houston Brides magazine. In the Fall/Winter 2011 issue we have a wedding that is featured in the Scene Houston Weddings section. Kolbi’s bridal session

We traveled to Kolbi's parent home in Spring back in April to create these bridal portraits for her June wedding. We first met her when we covered her brother's wedding last year. She was so easy to work and the home was a fantastic location to work. The last shot on the balcony is her going away dress. It is actually her mothers wedding gown re purposed into a cocktail dress.

Certified Professional Photographer

I have been asked on several occasions about the “CPP” designation and logo and why it is important to me and should be to our current and potential clients. We borrowed the information below from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) website for further clarification. Currently there are only 16 listed in the greater Houston market. For what it is worth I have been Certified since 1998.
