Ashley’s bridal session

We had the pleasure of photographing Ashley’s bridal portrait in May at the Corinthian which is where her ceremony and reception are being held. We had a fantastic time working with her as she took direction well, not to mention how amazing her dress and portrait location are. In fact as we were wrapping up the session she inquired about the vault in the basement. For those in the know, the Corinthian was originally the First National Bank built in 1905 and low and behold the vault still exists. I had personally not seen it in many years and it was in rough state of remodeling. After scouting and setting up everything that needed to be in a VERY dusty and construction zone without air conditioning the bride was a complete trooper and as you will see we were able to capture some amazing images that have probably never been done before just outside of the vault.

Keeping up with the Joneses – The ladies of Sicily Eason

This is part of our ongoing blog segment we are doing at D. Jones Photography.  David and I hand pick some of our favorite vendors, meet them at their workplace or favorite space and ask them some questions about the industry and life in Houston. It’s our way of giving back to the industry and also letting our readers meet some awesome vendors whom they may not have heard of before, or who work behind the scenes. To view additional vendor interviews follow this link to Keeping up with the Joneses.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting with the girls of  Sicily Eason, a custom design studio that specializes in letter press printing. Laura was in art geek heaven as the have their own antique letter press, do their own screen printing and all kinds of fun stuff! Here are a few answers for our questions by Natalie Eason, the studio’s proprietor.
