David and Laura covered the wedding of Juliana and Kasper this last weekend at one of Houston’s premier locations, The Corinthian. The couple had both their ceremony and reception in the venue. Kasper moved to Houston ten years ago from Denmark. Needless to say many of his family and childhood friends traveled far and wide to be there. In fact, one of his groomsmen, Gavin, who also emceed the toasts and introductions, came all the way from Australia to be apart of the special day. The couple wanted the ceremony to be very personal and reflected their Danish and American roots. There was a Danish cake as well as a traditional American cake (the Danish cake was filled with Marzipan and was very yummy!) They also did a Danish waltz and had all of the guests surround them while they danced. The crowd then moved in towards the couple and lifted Kasper off his feet to cut off the toes of his socks and present them to the bride! During the ceremony and for part of the reception, Juliana’s father sang along to piano accompaniment of a family friend. Kasper’s cousin also sang a rendition of “the Rose” and a Danish hymn during the ceremony. What a talented family they have! The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Rebecca Wilson while the amazing florals were provided by Wedding Flowers by Lisa. Following dinner entertainment was provided by Damon Pampolina of PRP Entertainment.
