I was in Brazil in April to cover a wedding and many people have asked to see some personal images from my trip to Rio de Janeiro. I have finally found a little spare time to do so. Now I must first share with you that I was highly advised as to not wander around with my standard camera as the theft rate is extremely high in this city. I have a photographer friend in Rio so I got the best guided tours of Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer statue), the contemporary arts museum (which was unfortunately closed for a new installation) as well as Fort Santa Cruz originally built in the mid 1500’s, then completely remodeled in the 1760’s. The Brazilian people are extremely friendly and the city is simply amazing. I had an opportunity to experience many of the live music venues
