Melissa + Jared wedding

Melissa and Jared were married May 31, 2008 in a lavish destination wedding at the Bentwater Yacht and Country Club on Lake Conroe. They had an outdoor ceremony under a beautiful gazebo specifically built for Melissa’s wedding. The reception was lovely with romantic lighting provided by Bright Star Productions and flowers and centerpieces provided by Bergner and Johnson. It was a truly amazing undertaking and it was all put together by Melissa’s mother Blair. She did such an awesome job and definitely should be congratulated on pulling off such an affair without a hitch.

Lindsey’s bridal session

We worked with Lindsey this past Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church located in the Museum District. We had such a great time and really got to play as St. Paul’s is such a great location to work at. Her dress was really amazing. It is a mermaid cut designed by Priscilla of Boston and has an asymmetrical train and some feather detailing on the side. Classic yet modern at the same time. Lindsey is marrying her beau Ryan in July and we can’t wait for the wedding!

Margaret + Josh engagement

Margaret and Josh are going to be married in November and wanted to do an engagement session with us before the wedding. They wanted a park setting so we went to the versatile and lovely Eleanor Tinsley Park. These guys were troopers because the minute we started a little storm started to blow in and it was WINDY! We think the images came out great and we made the wind work for us:)

Cynthia + Jay wedding

Cynthia and Jay had a lovely wedding at Brenner’s on the Bayou on May 25, 2008 and Laura was there to capture it. They started with an airy ceremony on the outside deck facing the bayou and then moved up into the loft room for dinner and reception. It was an intimate affair celebrated with close friends and family. The couple will reside in New Orleans after the wedding.

Ashley + Ryan newlywed portraits

Laura wanted to have some fun so she asked a friend Carol to refer a unique couple in order to create an edgy newlywed session. So this is how we met Ashley and Ryan, who were married a few months ago. Ashley is a hairdresser at Cutloose Salon and Ryan is a tattoo artist at Amazing Tattoo as well as the lead singer/organist for Ryan Scroggins and the Trenchtown Texans. If you are not busy this Saturday night you should go see the band at The Continental Club.

Hope you enjoy this fantastic photographic collaboration between David and Laura.

Engagement Session – Galveston Railroad Museum

Laura traveled to Galveston for an engagement session with Leti and Ben at the Galveston Railroad Museum. It is just one of the coolest places to shoot around this area. The couple also requested some images on the beach and downtown Galveston, so we had a lot of fun.

They were such a fun couple to work and are getting married in November. Although we were already booked for their wedding date the couple insisted on Laura to cover their engagement session. They are using Edward Charles Photogrgaphy for their actual wedding day photos and he is wonderful, so we know they are in good hands. Congratulations you two!

Christina + Ken wedding

Laura was referred by a friend of this couple’s to cover their wedding because their photographer (who was also a friend) had to back out for health reasons. The wedding and ceremony were held May 17, 2008 at the Historic Heights Fire Station. Christina has just finished school to be an esthetician and Ken is a local restaurateur who owns two (soon to be three) establishments in the Heights and Montrose area, Dragon Bowl and Pink’s Pizza. This was such a fun wedding with a lot of crazy details that made it unique. They had their invitations printed as concert tickets by Ticketmaster and guests were given backstage passes to attend the “Rock of Love”, or their reception. The table centerpieces were made from old records melted into bowls. Food was provided by Kats Chow (the steak with a red wine reduction sauce was to die for!). The couple plans on taking a honeymoon in June and tour the Pacific Coast of California.
